‘Lucille took me from the plantation and brought me fame…’

Those were the lyrics that struck a chord in me; to paint a classic tribute of the American blues king holding his ebony queen Lucille and placing him in his cradle, his favourite place, the hazy memories of the blooming Mississippi Delta cotton fields and the birthplace of it all.
