‘Song & Dance Man’ ~ All world’s a stage for the 20th century bard! It is impossible to fit in one frame the enigma of Bob Dylan, let alone in a few words explain my thought process for this painting. In 2016 Bob Dylan was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for creating “new poetic expressions within the great American song”. The impact was an ‘Idiot Wind’ storm of criticism by the media of whether he deserved this award, his comparability to William Shakespeare, and for the most part if his lyrics qualified as poetry.
