Woodstock revisited – a wild liberation of mind & soul.

My personal interpretation of the iconic Woodstock photo. The Woodstock festival was a 3 day ongoing concert held in a farm in Woodstock NY in 1969 during one of the most difficult periods in American history; The Vietnam war, the assassinations of Martin Luther and John F Kennedy.

A time where a generation decided to swim instead of being sunk like a stone, rejecting the status quo and creating a peaceful cultural war against the establishment, Through music & where music was their only solace, a sea of humanity and like minded individuals with a capacity of half a million men ,women & children gathered from all across the country.

The rebellious messages were simple after all. They were all about freedom of expression, peace and love. I add some my musical heroes into the composition.

(Jimi Hendrix , Janis Joplin , Bob Dylan, Neil Young )
